The PowerMac 8600/200 purchased in May 1997 had most of the software needed to get me started. Until I could afford a film scanner, however, the only way to get my own images into the computer was by doing video grabs.

It became evident right away that although the grabs were fine for learning some of the computer graphic skills, the image definition
left a lot to be desired. The initial solution was to video the image in sections and stitch the bits together on the computer. This improved
the resolution to an acceptable level for use on the computer screen and suggested other ‘improvements’. Click on the thumbnail for more detail. |
