Dodgy chemicals

I was working in photoprocessing labs in London 33 years ago. In those days the health and safety regulations were not adhered to as strictly as they are today. Film and paper were processed in deep narrow tanks. Anything dropped into them was difficult to extricate and if it happened to be an irreplaceable roll of film - you rolled your sleeves up! Many a time I have gone home with an arm covered with red spots that ended neatly at the point were the chemical stopped. Hence my current aversion to photographic darkrooms!
